This weekend the weather was so nice. I got Summer feelings and my freckles came out!
On Saturday I had fun with my sister an Robbie. We were just at home and watch "The Notebook" and i made us chocolate Pancakes! hihi they were yum! ;)
In the evening I was at the hot pools to celebrate Marias Birthday! I bought her a pandora charm in form of a kiwi bird! We were all the time in the hot water. There were just a break for eating cake. We had fun together.
Sunday was than more a relaxing day! I was laying all day in the sun with music in my ears and my diary, which is now full :S !!
It was so nice to feel the summer coming!

This Week is Exams time! Everybody is just studying and only has to come to school to the Exams! We Internationals have our own Programm and dont have to sit the Exams.
Everyday we have one our a KIWIANA lesson, where we learn special things about New Zealand. On Wednesday we will visit the TE MANUKA TUTAHI MARAE and have some Maori Bread and Maori Tea. Another trip to the Kiwi land in Te Puke is on Thursday.
But I will also sit the Textiles and Photography Exam. These are just practical Exams, where I´m going to sew my dress and in the other print my picturres. You can see that i will have a nice Programm this week!
After this week the holidays begin! We have 2 weeks free! I will go for a weekend to Auckland and will probably visit my other sister, Britt, in Wellington.

Okay I have to go to school now.. Hope i have some time to tell about the news this week and can tell you about my trips!! Seeya Ann Carolin ex oh

Hey Friends and Family,

sorry that you had to wait so long for a new report, but I am at the moment so busy and enjoy my new life that I forgot my blogg a bit and didn´t really had time for those things...( My diary writing is also still in the past!)
Okay I start with my last week!
On Monday ( 27th of August) Lisa Carrington came to our school. She is a Gold Medallist of Olympia in Rowing. In the past she went also to Whakatane High School and lives in Ohope, so she came and visit us. The Maoris made the Haka for her, which is a typical maori welcome ceremony.
They shout and it is a bit scary! After a little speech of our prinvipal and a sport teacher she came to the microfon and answered some questions to us. The first came from Josh:”Do you have a boyfriend.” :D Her answer was “ Yes, sorry boys ;)” After this Assembly you could get some autographs and meet her. I got a autograph!!
After school I had my last hockeytrainig, because my team is on tournament this week and after this the season is done. Hockey is only a wintersport. In summer you can play it like a social thing. So I can play but there are no games or special trainings.

On Wednesday was only school until 12:15, so I went with many friends together to Mac Donalds, where we met some more. We stayed there for longer time and had fun. Than some people left our group and we went to town. This was such a sunny and warm day that we stayed we really the whole day outside. We walked around(->slow), sang, sit on a sunny bench, talk and LAUGH !!
I enjoyed this day!
On Thursday and Tuesday we stayed at Annalees´s Dad (Norman). We go quite often out for dinner to the Ohope Chartered Club. I like the food there. Norman likes games very much, so we play every time one or more games (cards/ kind of Domino or bread games).

On Thursday we got our roles for our class play in DRAMA! It is a play about a school scene with the problems of teenager. I am the understudy for Kathy( a girl which dont likes her image and wants to change it, but always when she trys something new she dont like it and started smoking then).
For MARINE STUDIES I had to study about the Greenshell Mussels. On Thursday I had than a little test about the things in the mussel and on Friday than a big test about everything we learned or is in the book. Now this week we started a new topic: Fisheries.
In MATHS we still calculate and count.. but I like the people there.
Today I finished my dress out of the simple fabric in TEXTILES. I think next week, when Mrs Harper is back I will start with the real one. We had to make one out of the simple fabric, because we make a dress out of two pattern and changed a few things. So we had to see how this works and looks like!
In HOSPITALITY we cook twice a week. Every Tuesday we cook something savoury and on Friday morning we bake some muffins or cakes. The food is always very yummy-> I save the recipe! The other two periods we have to do bookwork or just chilling...
For PHOTOGRAPHY I am sorting my photos, which I took of the bird walk.

At lunch I spend more and more time with the Kiwis! All the international students always sit together and join their break together. The first weeks I did the same and hang out with this group, but now I spend more and more time with the New Zealand friends and they become better friends.

So yesterday I went after school with Ashlee to town and hang out a bit. We bought some school stuff and sit in the sun at the river. Ashlee is drinking a milk shake. I dont have one because I already got a Mocha and cooked some really nice Butter Chicken at Hospitality. But it was really nice to talk with her. It try to do some more things after school with friends, because Annalees is this week also on tournament. This week is the girls Hockey and soccer team and the boys hockey team on tournament. It is different without her but Britt, her older sister from Wellington, is here since two weeks. So I am not alone and Karina is also still there for me!
On Sunday afternoon I went for a nice long walk with Karina.
We started on a different part of the bird walk, which goes more up the hill. Than we look for the right following way. We went on walking but it was the wrong way. It was a adventure. We walked trough the bushes, climbed over fences, saw many kind of plants and animals. There were horses, donkies, goats, sheep, a pheasant and different kind of cows. The normal black and white one are called the fresian. Other are the jersey ( light brown one), the hereford (the brown or black one with a with face) and the settleback ( black with a big with strip on their back)!
After going a wrong round we finally find the right way and walk up the hill and on the other side down bit back home. When we come back it already gets dark outside and we recognized that we walked for one and an half hour. We walked quite fast so I felt really warm and sweaty than.
After a shower and dinner I went early to bed, because last night was very short.

Saturday morning I baked some nice scones with my own recipe. So I used a very easy one for savoury and mixed some things in. In the end they were kind of sweet with cinnamon and nuts.
At lunch time I met Anaelle at town. We walked a bit around and went shopping then. I try some things on, but didn´t buy one of these. In the end I find nice blue jacket (Blazer) and Anaelle liked this jacket too. On the way to me she found some nice glasses. Finally we both bought the same jacket and glasses. When we walked out of the shop we were so happy and had fun!
Than we walked with a smile on our face to my home. We first tried our new clothes on and took than some pictures with these on the beginning of the bird walk.
When we come back we got dressed and had dinner. Than Karina brought us to Jackies and a bit later we went with her and Nora to the beach, where Tassos leaving bonefire is.
I have really fun and hang with nice friends around. The cops shot it down at about 11:30 so we had to leave...I stayed than the night with Nora and Anaelle at Jackies. We fell late to bed and dont sleep long, but we had fun. The morning I stayed longer with Jackie and watched a movie.

Ya I think now you see a bit that I have a good time and enjoy my new life!

Hello Friends and Family,

today at school: - in Hospitality we baked Apple ccrumble Tarts
-in Drama we played little parts of the new class play to find the roles
after school I went with Mel, Anaelle, Ebba and Maria to KOPE. That is a kind of shopping street close to our school. We went to a nice Cafe, where I had a delicouse big Mocha!
That was cool. We talked a lot and had fun!

Than I went to the Gym, which is two houses next to the Cafe.
After my workout I met (without knowing/planing) Mel and Ebba on the way and walked to the Tennis court to meet Karina and drive home!

Now I just had a nice shower and ate a crunchie bread. This bread Karina made with a bread machine! It´s really Yummy!
In 10 min I will leave and go to the Quiz night of the girls soccer team. With this acttion the team races money for their tournament and we have fun :)

Last weekend I went fishing on the river with Mel and her family. She is also an exchange student, but from Norway! I am already good friends with her.
The parents showed us how to throw the root out and than we fished. I got the first and second fish !! In the end we had 6 fish! After it we went to her families home to have the fish for dinner!
It was very yummmy :)

Before they picked me up I went for a short walk into the Bird Walk, where i took some pictures for Photography ( the school subject). The Memory stick was very fast full! I really like doing this and there are quite a few nice results!

On Sunday we went to Opotiki. You say Oporiki! We went there for lunch and looked at a big swinging bridge! At least we visit the sister of my hostfather. There I showed them Munich and my house on google earth. That was funny :D Everything looks for them so new and big.
The houses in germany are a lot older and bigger. Mostly all houses are here only on one floor!

Saturday was a very funny day!
I was a kind of Clown with 5 other boys and girls!
At 9 o´clock I came to Christine, the mother of a good friend of Annalees and friend of Karina, and we all took on our costumes, which we tried on and decided on the day before.
We also made our Make up! That took a bit longer, but we already had really fun with it. First step was get the whole face white. We girls also wore false lashes and pink/purple lipstick and eye shadow. The Boys had triangles and circles in their face and looked like real funny clowns.
From 10 to 1 o´clock we stood on 3 different places and showed people the way to the shop “Smiths City”. Every time two Clowns stood on one roundabout , hold a sign and point to the shop, where also a bouncing castle. This shop has its 94th birthday. Everybody looked at us and smiled. The most children  looked so happy J We really had fun. In the end we were really glad to get the colour out of our faces, because the white really got sticky and cracked. When I ate something I felt it in my whole face and could not really open my mouth.
After wearing normal clothes again we went to have a pizza! YUM !!! I really had fun with the others and enjoyed this day.
We also get payed for our job. On Monday we all get a top up for our phones (-> 20 $). We got this job because Christine works at the radio station one double X. This Radio Chanel organized the whole program. She tooks us also in her car to the places and this car is  a really cool coulored one of the radio station.
 In the evening Nora was at my house and we watched sisters act!  J
Sunday I had a Hockey tournament. This is just a fun tournament with the first Hockey team of the school. I can´t play in the school team at normal games because it is already quite full, so I really enjoyed playing on Sunday. The level of the team is the same like mine! The first game we won 4:0. I played the whole second half as a wing (Stürmer). Than we had one hour break, where I only stayed with Michelle at the Hockeyturf. But it was cool, because we talked a lot and the time went fast. After the break we had our second game. I played all the time as a HIGH BACK ( eine art Außenverteidigung, die immer ein bisschen mit vor kommt.) It was the first time I played this position, but I really liked it to play there. In the end we won 1:0. This was good game and I had fun. After it the trainer and the other girls told me that I played really well :))
It would be so cool if I could go with this team on tournament to Tauranga, but they already told the names of the player in February and now is everthing organised.
